Kirkbymoorside Musical Festival 2026

For the second year running, The Weighton Waytes featured in the Kirkbymoorside Gateway to the Moors Music Festival. The event was such a success in 2025 that it was staged throughout the town on Saturday 1st & 2nd August 2026.

The festival programme featured music across all genres and various venues throughout this beautiful North Yorkshire town.

Once again, The Weighton Waytes performed in All Saints Church. Last year, after our performance, the local vicar pronounced the choir as “a stonking  good choir!”. The published programme announced The Weighton Waytes as an “extraordinarily moving choir”. These accolades were effective and we are pleased to report that All Saints Church was full and the performance was well received.

Musical Director, Carole Readman,  selected a very suitable and diverse musical programme  which featured: “You raise me up; Look at the World; Hafan Gobaith (Another Day) and Homeward Bound.

As last year, the choir travelled by coach from Market Weighton ensuring that they arrived safely and ready for their audience.
